Welcome to World Literature!
This course is designed to introduce students to literature from various parts of the world and time periods. Students will have an opportunity to improve skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. They will also refine skills in research, reading comprehension, group discussions, and literary analysis.
Some works of literature we will be reading this semester include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Epic of Gilgamesh
- Epic of Sundiata
- Iliad
- Oedipus the King
- Farewell to Manzanar
- Night
- Shakespearean Play (to be determined)
- Various poems, short stories, articles, etc.
